Surrounded by community, baptism is when participants profess their faith and commit to following Jesus before they are immersed in water. Baptisms symbolize our new life in Christ. It is a practice passed down through history from Jesus Himself. At Centre Church baptisms are often marked with celebration and laughter and sometimes tears of joy.
Anyone and everyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and turned from their sin is encouraged to be baptized. It is a common misunderstanding for people to wait until they have their lives more “together” to be baptized. By God’s grace, we don’t have to wait until we are more spiritually mature. If you have repented and believe, be baptized!
